The aim of our investments is to enable ambitious and innovative Estonian companies emerge and grow globally, create new high value-added jobs and, thereby, modernise Estonian economy.
Investment Principles
Asset classes
We invest into venture capital funds with a strong focus towards Estonian innovative early-stage research and technology-intensive SMEs with strong international growth potential. We invest into both generalist and industry specific funds, depending on the investment programs we currently have open.
Fund selection
We have various criteria, which we evaluate before making an investment decision. The most common areas for evaluation are the investment proposal, team composition, track record, fundraising plan, exit strategy and other relevant topics for each investment initiative.
Performance and impact target
We seek market level long-term capital appreciation, together with a positive impact on Estonian economy.
Investment period
Each fund term is determined on case-by-case basis. Typical fund term is 10-12 years.
Other considerations
We seek to make our investments hand-in-hand and on equal terms with private investors.
