SmartCap manages two common closed-end alternative investment funds: SmartCap Venture Capital Fund and SmartCap Green Fund.

Both operate as a venture capital fund-of-funds according to their strategy. The sole unitholder of both funds is the Republic of Estonia.

The assets of Venture Capital (VC) Fund are invested into Estonian-focused venture capital funds or international venture capital funds. As of April 2022, there fund is not actively looking to expand its portfolio. See more detailed information on SmartCap VC Fund our Portfolio page.

GreenFund aims to invest in businesses that create green technologies in order to solve environmental issues and achieve a climate-neutral and circular economy. GreenFund aims to provide equity investments in the amount of 100 million euros between 2022-2026.
