Greentech Fund Call 2022* SmartCap held a call to select up to two private fund managers for establishing and managing green technology investment funds. The principal purpose of the investments is to increase the supply of venture capital to develop new green technologies by financing innovative and/or research-intensive green technology companies. With an aim to contribute to the fulfilment of the objectives of the strategy “Estonia 2035” and to also promote the environmental objectives provided in Article 9 of the Taxonomy Regulation, the Council of the European Union has dedicated resources from the European Recovery and Resilience Facility (hereinafter the RRF) for these investments. 2C Ventures Fund I
Deep Tech Fund 2020 SmartCap held a call to find a private fund manager to establish and manage a new deep tech investment fund. The main purpose of the fund is to make investments in early-stage deep tech companies established and operating in Estonia. Superangel Two
Accelerator Fund (procurement 2017) In partnership with Startup Estonia, SmartCap held a procurement to find value-adding small venture capital funds. Specifically, we looked for funds targeting seed and early-stage companies with high growth potential in technology-intensive sectors. As part of the investment criteria, the funds were expected to provide acceleration services and venture capital investments in the form of equity and quasi-equity. Superangel One
